The Celebs rent too! And Madonna is rumoured to be selling?
Ok so some of our listeners may still rent and some celebrities do as well. I don’t really understand why they do? But they are not paying the average. Take New York Celebs….Funny man Robin Williams is paying 11% higher than the average in his four bedroom $15,000 a month in the upper west side, Nick Jonas of the Jonas Bros is forking out 53% above the average at $6900 a month for his digs and actress Meg Ryan is paying a whopping $25,000 a month which is 178% higher than the average rent in the same area! I think she needs another movie deal soon!
And very quickly, on another note If you are thinking of getting out of the rental pool, Madonna is rumored to quietly trying to unload her mansion just off Sunset Blvd in Beverly Hills for a bargain price of around 28 million dollars. Back in 2003 she purchased the home with then husband Guy Ritchie from actress Sela Ward.

Are we tired yet of hearing about the nasty breakups and divorces of the heartbroken celebrities? I know I’m not! And its standard procedure to begin liquidating their assets and split up the real estate holdings. Here are some more former love nests that may be hitting the market soon…
Heidi Klum and Seal, the current home they purchased for 14.2 million in 2012…we will have to see if this is a new hot property on the market.
Amazingly enough Ashton and Demi never purchased property together in their 6-year marriage, he moved into her mansion and placed his bachelor pad on the market for 2.6 million….
Then there is Katy Perry and Russell brand who had just purchased, Scarlett Johansen and Ryan Reynolds, and Arnold Swarchenegger and Maria Shriver. All who have property together…so, if you want to get a hot deal coming up just check out the latest tabloids for who’s breaking up and moving out!

Jason Preistly and Michael Buble like Real Estate!
He came into showbiz as Brandon Walsh, the 90210 Canadian Kid Jason Priestly is selling his home in Toluco Lake California for $2.1 Million. The home was built in 1990 with extensive renos done in 2005, it has three bedrooms, 3 and a half bathrooms in 3200 sq feet. They Preistly's purchased the meditarranian style home in 2007….Jason is no stranger to real estate investing especially in Canada, he has owned many properties here in BC including a resort in Uculet BC, a property in gastown and is co-owner of the Black Hills winery near Oliver BC.
Another Canadian favorite, singer Micheal Buble has also taken to investing locally as well. He along with veteran hockey coach Pat Quinn are investors in the up and coming Tsawwassen Springs Community. The property is going to have a palm springs golf country club with a 500 unit housing project and golf course. The $400 Million project will be sold in five phases over the next two years. Micheal thinks he may even purchase one himself and practice his golf game.

I’ve talked before about the celebrities in Hollywood losing money with their real estate deals, but there is the occasion where they make money, good money too!
Take Jeff Pobst, the Survivor host, just sold his three bedroom, three bathroom home with a detached office for the full asking price of $900,000 thousand dollars! He listed his place shortly after he purchased Gene Audry’s estate in Studio City for 5 million dollars. The home comes complete with a three-tier waterfall, access to hiking trails and an 8 person spa. Sounds like he had his own “survivor” hideaway!
Quite some time ago I had a story, a crazy story about Jennifer Aniston listing her home for $42 million dollars after she purchased it for only $13 million in 2006 with when she was with Brad Pitt. With the recession and the ups and downs of the U-S market this seems a little out of whack even considering the incredible renovations she did. Well, she proved to everyone differently and is laughing all the way to the bank. The home has recently been sold for somewhere around $37 Million dollars, I wonder if she is going to take up a new line of work now?
And that’s the Celebrity real estate gossip!

Kenny Rogers sprawling estate in Georgia is on sale!
Beaver Dam Farms is an expansive 973-acre private estate tucked away in the rolling foothills of Athens, Georgia. Built and designed by country music legend the Gambler himself, Kenny Rogers has just been listed privately for $20 million. The luxurious, fully-furnished estate, located on the original site of one of Georgia's grandest plantations, features a 12,000-square-foot main house complete with two gyms, a movie theater, a billiards room and an Italian marble wraparound porch. There is also a six bedroom guest house, a four bedroom guest cottage, and four one-bedroom villas.
From a Big property to a big Price!! $20 Million is a steal compared to the $85 Million sales price for the late Aaron Spelling Mansion (famous for Melrose place, dynasty, 90210) has been sold to Petra Ecclestone. Listed for price was $150 million. And sold for the $85 million., the 22 year old, daughter of Formula One head Bernie Ecclestone (net worth $4 billion) and yes you heard me 22 year old!!!
After putting her mansion on the market, Candy Spelling made news for buying a two floor condo in Century City recently for $45 million. When built, the Spelling mansion broke records as the largest home in Los Angeles County – a French chateau-style mansion spanning 56,500 square feet of space on a 4.6 acre lot abutting the Los Angeles Country Club. Honestly I think these people just have way too much money!! And space!! There is a term called “too much!”

June 4th Edition.....
Charlie Sheen has put his Beverly Hills mansion up for sale - complete with its own luxury movie theatre….for you know…….movies.
The five-bedroom property is on the market for an incredible $7.2 million . Wall Street star Sheen, 45, paid his ex-wife $1 million to become the sole owner of the home in their divorce proceedings earlier this year. Money magazine Forbes estimates that Sheen has earned $40 million in the last 12 months - despite getting sacked as the highest paid actor on TV for his role in the sitcom Two And A Half Men. …WOOOOOWWWW!
Now we go from should be committed to committed …
Power couple Ellen Degeneres and Portia. They have spent more than four years—and many millions of dollars—completing their Beverly Hills compound. They bought a 9,000-square-foot house in April 2007 for a whopping $29Million. You wouldn’t believe it but over the years they bought surrounding mansions totaling 19Million, converting some into guest spaces and leveling the others.
I guess now Ellen and Portia have tired of their humungo estate, will they see any return on their almost $50M investment? The Real Estalker has it on good authority that entire compound has an amazing price of $60Million.

What Happens When Celebs do NOT have the proper Estate Planning?
We’ve talked a lot about Celeb’s buying and selling, getting in financial trouble but what happens to celebrities when they don’t have their estates in order when an untimely and unfortunate ending happens?
Take Don Ho, the tiny little bubbles Hawaiian Singer made a promise to his first estranged wife on her deathbed that their six children can continue to live in the Lanikai Hawian home.
Unfortunately this was a verbal agreement and after the passing he listed the home for 10 million. While the home was listed Ho died of Heart Failure. The trustees eventually sold the home for 6.05 million which did not boad well for his ten children ( four from other subsequent relationships) who were now at odds over the proceeds. And allegadly about a month ago the 6 adult children were forcibly removed from the Diamond Head Estate. The argument could have been avoided if the agreement was in writing.
Don Ho had several different ex’s and children and so did Famed rebel actor, Dennis Hopper. Dennis was locked in an ugly divorce fight with his fifth wife, Victoria. During the crazy divorce he asked the judge for permission to change his life insurance policy to remove his wife and their young daughter as beneficiaries. His request was denied and the judge said that the issue would have to wait for trial. But Hopper died first, and the life insurance was never changed. As you have just heard Celebirites are just as vulnerable and sometimes not ready for an untimly event . So, now is a good time to ask yourself if your ready with the proper agreements in place, in writing, reviewed yearly and have a will!

So, who's losing homes? Segei Fedorov, the retired hockey star, has reportedly lost two homes in Detroit. Toni Braxton lost her Vegas home and now is possibly losing her Georgia country club residence.
